    I made my first purchase on cryptothrift today. Everything went smooth but the site itself does look like crap. I think with a bit of promotion maybe a sig campiagn and a site makeover, they could be doing much better.

    I think it is really more the lack of alternatives. Prior to bitcoin there really were not any alternatives and bitcoin is still relatively new to the P2P transaction marketplace

    Ebay is pretty fucking ridiculous. The only use it really has is to build up a decent reputation if you want to start an online store, otherwise fee's fuck you up real bad. If you are only selling random shit sporadically, you might as well go WTS in the forum related to the object you want to sell.

     is the delivery fee taken into consideration when ebay wants their cut of the money ?
    if you want to sell a $100 item, could you sell it for $10, make the buyer pay $90 shipping, and then pay ebay what ever percentage of $10 instead of the full $100 ? would that work ?

    Yeah they charge a flat 10% final value fee on the item cost & shipping costs now, unless you have an ebay store, then final value fees go down to around 5-6% for most stuff

    I  don't think anyone resents the fact they charge fees, it's that they are quite high.

    Granted they corner most of the market, so many people just put up with it, a better site will come along one day I would expect.
