Brock Pierce has posted a rebuttal to the allegations made against him. He claims that they are without merit and aimed to unfairly discredit him.
Brock is claiming that his successful election to the board of the Bitcoin Foundation is proof enough that he is a valued and trusted member of the Bitcoin community as a whole. In fact, he claims to represent 127,000 members of the community in the MTGox fiasco.
Is that true? It seems that his victory was a mere single vote over the next leading contestant. This in a vast field of 71 voters. Is this really representative of the community that he has called on to trust him?
I would propose that in light of the feedback from the community that Brock offer to open the vote to the whole community and not just a few elite members.
Yes, Brock and Vinny should have a special election open to the full community. That is the only way to assure that the Brock has the necessary consensus to lead.
