I did an experiment and you can receive NXT assets without having NXT in your account, but I think to verify your account is valid, we need a positive balance so your account number is 'known' to the NXT blockexplorer's, and therefore able to be validated by our registration webapp.

If we can't validate your NXT address then it will become a problem as we might end up sending Kora assets into the abyss of 'dark NXT'. I'll need to pay ~3K in NXT for transaction fees, so we really need to know every stakeholder has a valid NXT address before we send the Kora asset tokens.

Also keep in mind that to secure completely your NXT account
you need to send out at least one transaction which could be send a some coins
form your account or register an alias name.

Also when registering NXT account choose a pass phrase wisely
at least 30 characters including all possible chars like #$%&0 etc..
Your pass phrase is your account and if you forget it you are fucked so write it down
somewhere on paper.

Interesting process. Exiting. I hope Kora goes far.

However:
NXT Asset Exchange gets new users every time: NEM stake trading, Qora trades when other exchanges frozen, and now KORA stakes.

Why not use NHZ or NFD?  They have the same Asset Exchange functionality?

A valid suggestion for NFD, but I'm not sure NHZ has an asset exchange up & running yet.

We had already announced our plan to launch Kora tokens on the NXT AE before the NFD resurrection was completed.

I think for a future project NFD would be an excellent choice, and they have a very large number of users.

Kora is happy to continue with NXT AE!
