The rant for the last 4 pages reminds me of the UseNet rants in the early 90s about operating systems,: which is "better" Apple, MS, GNU, Unix.  

As for the competition, competition is good, but marketing and community is king.

Without a niche community, Apple would have not survived the dot.com bust in 2000.  Their OS was superior to MS, but they lacked marketing skills. They have succeeded NOW, because they developed products with little to no competition and got better at marketing.

MS has survived and prospered with its average quality products, due to its preditory marketing techniques.  Examples:  "Windows" was trademarked by Apple then stolen by MS; MSDOS was written to run and then crash non-MS programs like WordPerfect; Internet Explorer was developed by SpyGlass and in a deal with MS, was to get $1 for every version SOLD by MS..... then MS gave it away, screwing SpyGlass; MS paid for CPU, CMOS, BIOS and ROM enhancements which they patented and only allow MS Windows to utilize.    I could go on, but you get the point..... marketing and skullduggery can trump innovation.


Crypti has features in development that are going to blow away the competition.  Best advice for the XCR team, is to let the competition worry about them and not to worry about the competition.
