Everyone needs to start thinking HOW COULD I GET MY MOM TO USE MY NEW COIN WITHOUT ME HELPING HER
Abstraction.
If you interface with a coin through a recognisable medium, it's easy to use.
for example: think of a paypal/skrill UI web based program which hooks in to any wallet you specify, or a one provided by the website owner.
not limited to this, but it's a start.
I think eventually people will realize that people on "the outside" don't trust people that they have never seen the face of, and that that is like 25% of the problem with Bitcoin. Many people don't even KNOW of anyone that has been on TV or anything because of Bitcoin. If it were not for the Joe Rogan Podcast I would have personally never heard of David Seaman or Andre Antanopolis, I would have only heard of Gavin Anderson and Satoshi Nakamoto and that is from reading stuff HERE.
SO.
The solution to this will be wallets at ALREADY trusted sites. Ex: Imagine Bitcointalk.org profiles came WITH wallets. Do you think more people would trust that over a website that they can't communicate with directly? If there were wallets associated with our accounts, we could all complain when they messed up and stuff, and people like to be able to talk to the people holding their stuff. That is why MCXNow was so successful even though everyone here always hated on it.
And once people start showing their faces more and Bitcoiners start getting put to known public faces, it will start to move a lot faster. Like if Joe Rogan himself announced that HE owned Bitcoins and supported Bitcoins and told people to make their own coins in a short video (or if there was a 'show you face' thread here) people would start to feel like they should get involved and wonder why they haven't.
