this guy is right there is a landscape shaping up
but i don't follow the logic
start with his random sort between 'brokerage' & 'exchange'
also have no clue on 'capital markets' vs 'trading' vs 'investments' (this is what overstock wants to get into shifting wall st. to the chain)

There are 20M now, with about 24.5M total scheduled from mining.

If there is a change to PoS type interest, it would probably be something conservative like 2% a year. I like Bitcoin's total supply cap approach, though. If prices decrease as a result of growth in the general economy, that's a good thing, because then banks aren't needed to get a return on savings.

Maybe due to the recent Bitcoin related excitement, and there's also SMC block halving in 20K more blocks.

That pool hashrate number doesn't look right, though.

It has been discussed, but there are no plans for PoS (as implemented by other alt coins) at this time.

However, there are possibilities for development in regard to the utilization of hash power for purposes other than finding the longest sequence of zeros in a hash (ideas for this are welcome).

Selling SMC? I'll buy them for the right price.
Why? I'd like to own a large amount of an altcoin, mainly for fun.
Why SMC? Low marketcap, dev still active on the board, website still up and looking good, trading on cryptsy (despite their problems, they still have good liquidity and plenty of traders).
