One thing I worry about with staking coins is inflation. Will inflation happen?
HyperStake has a built-in inflation control mechanism that limits the reward to 1000 HYP (also called
max subsidy). It means that money supply grows linearly (not exponentially) and gradually, preventing the market from plummeting. There is also another (psychological and economical) point, which plays a significant role. The ratio between total supply and projected annual supply is continuously dropping, and this means that the APR nominally is doing the same.
Here it can be observed in real time.
Although a permanent supply expansion can lead to some inflation, it's not the thing to worry about if market capitalization remains stable (until the next growth). If we look at Dogecoin, we will see that it has more than 260 times bigger supply (which is also ever expanding), but its price is only 3 times lower.
