Edit: i see that you are talking about the people writing on this thread, but anyway i see very few selling pressure for a coin that
done x4 in two weeks. And also i dont see too many people writing here. Seems that lot of the coin holders was lost about their investment after some slow months (talking only about the money market...)

Yes, you need to do this:
1. backup your wallet.dat for security (inside .FairCoin if is linux )
2. download and set up the last wallet.
3. syncronize with the network
4. send the coins

You can find dozens of coins that died after dev walked away, but almost none that revive like that.
