When mining is it better to have say a 2tb drive as 1 huge plot or broken down to say 2 1tb drives or 4 500gb drives? Is more miners searching smaller plots better or worse than 1 miner with a huge plot? I'm still new to burst mining and trying to get most efficiency from what storage I have. I currently have 1 2.1tb, 1 1.8tb and 2 900gig drives. All are physical drives, no partitions or split plots of any kind and the 900's once in a while find smaller deadlines while the bigger ones r still searching. I run 4 blago miners each pointing to each drive so its searching 4 at a time. Btw seen a few days ago had a 17 deadline that was over 100,000 share, not sure what it meant but thought it was cool to be on top of the share list.
"I run 4 blago miners each pointing to each drive..." - it's very bad.
Better use one miner with config:
d: 2.1 Tb
e: 1.8 Tb
f: 0.9 Tb
g: 0.9 Tb
"Paths":["D:\\plots","E:\\plots","F:\\plots","G:\\plots"] (4 threads)
or
"Paths":["D:\\plots","E:\\plots","F:\\plots
+G:\\plots"] (3 threads)
better to have 1 huge
optimized/merged plot per drive.
