I don't see how this wasn't expected. There are projects in the top 10 with massive innovation that are fighting to stay above a market cap of only 10 million. No surprises here.
This is the problem in cryptos as a whole right now. Nobody is ready for it to actually be a real currency; Bitcoin is beginning the adoption process, but it does not seem like anyone will allow a coin other than Bitcoin to break through. None of these "Anon" coins will be around in the future, and even the innovative coins are all slowly falling in price and volume. It's bleak right now in this industry.
I think it's because of several things: 1) Most cryptos don't offer much other than what bitcoin already does. Why develop a marketplace for GB when Bitcoin's being used on lots of sites that together make up a much larger marketplace? I'm not saying it's not a noble cause to try to make a GB marketplace. But just know that Bitcoin's way ahead of everybody, even Litecoin and Dogecoin in this regard. 2) Bitcoin has an enormous head start as far as venture capital flowing into bitcoin start ups, the infrastrcture's being built out, thousands of articles about bitcoin, expanding public awareness, services being built from the blockchain, sidechains, etc etc etc. If GB has any chance at all, it needs to offer something that no one else is doing at the moment. Don't see that happening right now. In fact, for any alt to survive they need to offer something different.
