This supply and distribution was an important decision when creating Cannacoin. A lot of alternative coins and specifically other joining the Cannabis space in our opinion have too high of supply and too many daily new coins generated which will quickly devalue an investment or holdings(high inflation).  We realize that BTC is aimed at being the new global currency and that CCN is targeted to a specific industry, with this in mind we we strategized a protocol that would allow for enough total supply (about ~1/2 BTC) while still providing enough daily reward to sustain the miners and a 10x faster network.

If the reward is not scarce the value is much harder to obtain, there are plenty of examples of this scattered all over the exchanges. These are not difficult concepts to conclude however, it appears that many coins did not think about this or used the large supplies as marketing gimmicks... once you see that, it becomes clear that the Cannacoin team has put a lot of effort and thought into this protocol and its future.
