To get started, you just need secure messaging, a place to put a picture profile and a way for people to pay to subscribe or pay to view a profile.

Fancy mobile services would certainly add value, but to get going everything is basically in place.

In my opinion, SDC won't break $5 without a USD/SDC service. But I'm told that this is currently in the works and I believe the marketplace will create some P2P SDC/fiat volume.

And the beauty of the developments being worked on will allow 3rd party services to take shape. The devs are simply creating an open source decentralized, private transaction platform that can be taken wherever anyone wants to take it.

For this to ever happen we need some big improvements in simplicity of use. A bank-based fiat exchange will be nice but the real anon power will come from in-person exchanges, in the shadows of the streets. We'll have to wait for the phone wallets.

A month to launch doesn't seem unrealistic at all. I'd rather see the wallets and their functionality cleaned up just a little first, but that's probably a minority position.

The devs usually ninja launch the features. I remember when the html wallet was finished, they sprung the private/public beta on the community without any foreshadowing. And within a week of testing and bug fixing, they had a public release. I was pleasantly surprised.

It will come without warning.
