Yes, you stand a risk of losing your btc when investing, as you will pay a part of every bet that wins. BUT, unlike betting, the edge is in your favour when investing. When betting, you have a -0.8% edge, this basically means you PAY 0.8% of every bet you make to he house as a fee (I explained it a bit more clearly here: https://steemit.com/gambling/@seuntjie/why-botting-doesn-t-work-at-casinos) but when investing, the house GETS PAID 0.8% of every bet made on it, and that is distributed to investors according to their invested percentages.

There are variances, since you don't actually make profit on losing bets. If whale comes in and wins 100 Btc, your investment will suffer. The key thing about the investments is just to hold it for as long as you possibly can. The longer you wait, the closer you'll get to the expected profit

Our investors were notified on August 16th about upcoming change:
Because we want long term investors, additional divest fees will be introduced for short term investments:
- On investments shorter than 7 days, we will charge a 0.3% fee for divests
- On investments shorter than 14 days, we will charge a 0.2% fee for divests
- On investments shorter than 21 days, we will charge a 0.1% fee for divests
- On investments longer than 21 days, we will not charge you any fee for divests

This rule will come in place on September 1st 2016. On that day, website will be unavailable for couple of hours because of scheduled maintenance.

Investors will see a divest fee column under active investments table.

This is the type ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, and other shady operations pull...trying to give people reasons not to withdraw their money. You guys have a 2 BTC max win anyway....why do you need that much of a bigger bankroll?

I want to point out that you CAN withdraw at any time. Just pay a penalty if it's early. And the 3 week wait to not be penalized shouldn't be that bad. If you're investing in anything like this, it should be long-term regardless.
