Could someone more knowledgeable than myself please specify what exactly the difference is between "obsolete proof" and "upgrades over time." The "upgrades over time" characteristic seems to be the selling point for the primes, whereas the other hashlets are obsolete proof. I figure them to be synonymous but GAW explicitly makes a difference between the two.
I don't think this is the answer but does it mean that the primes will increase their hashing power, or operate at lower cost, whereas the other hashlets that do not upgrade over time have their costs remain static?
I'm just trying to find more clarity as to what warrants the increased investment in the primes.
ANY future Hashlet that gets released the Prime will algo get the features. Talk of scrypt-n soon (CEO hinted), and maybe things like x11, x13 in the future. Getting the jump on algo's will be big payouts!
I've got a good few Primes and I didn't pay the cheap price.
