I JUST saw this message, and was confused for a bit why my bet wasn't playing. It should be more apparent, I am just wasting time waiting for my stupid bet to confirm

It does take it out of the game.
The reason I found luckybit was I saw the almost zero turnaround time.
You send bet, after a couple seconds its played, and about 20 seconds later (after animation), you get tx back in your wallet.
With other sites, you send, wait for 1-6 confirms, make your bet, then withdraw. Thats anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour of waiting time to make 1 simple bet.
Also, this big TX fee requirement will REALLY cut into the small value bets.
