Explain to someone why 8000 blocks without coins?
Can be sufficed, and 4000?
First 8000 Blocks had 0 coin reward to allow time for potential delays in setting up mining, and preventing instamining. Many pools were still mining even though the Block reward was at 0 coins and by Block 8000 the hash rate had already leveled out.
It took away the rush to get all mining up immediately and when it was launched Kingscrown had linked to the Darkcoin miner only to find that Darkcoin had removed the link. If the coin reward had started from the first Block you would have seen a large amount of complaining and accusations that it was done purposely but for the first 4 days there was no reward so it didn't matter that there was a 20 minute delay.
still 2 days away from mining lol I get the idea, it gives 4 days for the price to stabilize a bit before mining starts. if it was just for a smooth mining start 1 day would have even been a bit much.
the op still says approx 60 million coins total from premine/ico/pow, I saw someone say 7 mill now but is that just for ico amount? what will the total be after mining?
