Meanwhile in the town accounting centres in the Town Hall annex and Halls of Justice (there is only one hall of justice in the building, but it sounds greater this way):

Labor pool is renewed. It still gives the basic income for commoners, but the Nobles and anyone who has a large economic footprint, it can be a source of great additional income or even loss. Each character incl. companies is calculated a "mgmt need" rating, and this need must be met by having professional people in your Household (seeSERV, business_id 10XX, where XX is your Character id). This is intended to lessen the wealth concentration by making large business empires to pay more for the central management. Midrange characters have it easier to meet the demands. Commoners are typically not affected.

Donations are implemented. In a tab namedDONATION, you just select the recipient and add the amount, and it will annually be transferred from your account. The implementation of this took about 30 minutes and the maintenance is zero. So enjoy the fruits of the new DB structure.

- HM is donating 5 million every year to Church. "The Church is taking care of the poor, the children, and many things that HM has the heart, but not currently the time, for."

- HM is donating 5 million every year to Monero House. "There is no easier way to automatically donate to the Monero development than this. All Monero House proceeds go to the development address and are credited in the cAPSLOCK Monero Hall of Fame."

- HM is donating 5 million every year to University. "The University is about to enlarge greatly and start a wonderful new era of science and culture, and naturally this is worthy of supporting."

- HM is donating 10 million every year to Army. "The Royal CryptoArmy needs to be maintained through peacetime as well as war. It is the Defender of what is Precious, Guarantor of our Freedoms, and (soon) also Punisher of our Enemies. "

Rental pool has been distributed once. To make up for the years lost, it was now distributed to all floorspace, rented or not. This was due to the update being still a bit under construction. The actual rental owners lost in comparison to the other business owners (who got double payment, from the business, plus the space as if it was rented). This will be remedied in the future by adjusting the remaining pool amounts.

Special pool is still not ready, but that's about the one last thing still needing to be done in the version, and not a difficult one.

The Marquess of North Face
Jacket of North Face can hardly believe it has been 150 years since arriving to the Crypto Kingdom. Upon arriving to the fledgling town at the age of 20, he quickly was able to establish a small residence to the north of town. From there, watching the town rise from the ground was a magnificent site to witness.

Coming from an area where clothing and attire were diverse and abundant, it was clear to see that the kingdom would appreciate the finer wardrobes that can be see in the far away lands. Luckily, Jacket was able to visit with the foreign tailors on their two visits to the kingdom in 1450 and 1498. The Nobles of the town never looked better after these visits from the foriegn tailors. Rumors and gossip circulated that His Majesty King was even awarded a full Golden Suit made with 1000 CKG during the past visit, although it may be a rumor and has not been officially seen in public. The curator of the Crpyto Museum hopes to one day create a secure display for such a grand creation! (if it does truly exist)

The wonders of the creations of the foreign tailors became Jacket's obsession, and after many years of building businesses in the town and outlying areas a textile research facility was built so that the wonders of the foreign tailors could be enjoyed by all in our great kingdom. It is rumored that the creative work and craftsmanship is currently not able to produce the quality attire yet, but with determination and hard work, the staff of the facility will advance to become great artisans and tailors to supply the kingdom with great products.

Expert Troy
In 1508, Jacket's son Troy came to the age where he was sent out to learn and develop as a contributing member of the kingdom. He lives in the kingdom, but (to the dismay of his father) does not share the affinity for the arts and craftsmanship. Troy's dreams of competition on the Jousting Field. He has visited other land to witness the great events of bravery and skill and hopes to one day bring this excitement our great Crypto Kingdom as a champion to our King and possibly train others in the techniques learned.

At nights she made drawings and plans for buildings in candle light.

After successfully designing and building some of her own developments in the Old City area, she started to get commissioned for building work by other citizens.

Today Countess Roopatra is 165 years old, and has witnessed with awe all the development in the great city. From her humble beginnings in the peasant village, she has come a long way to become a Noble in the Crypto Town, and is still today the highest ranking female player in the Kingdom. Despite her ripe age, she feels like a young woman inside, and is actively serving the Crypto Town as a member of the Town Council, with her Architect and Building Inspection work, as well as Administrative tasks.

Quentin Moon's History

Quentin Moon hailed originally from lands to the west. He travelled widely as a youth and arrived into the fledgling Crypto Kingdom as a young man of 20 in the year 1450. By this stage he was already a member of the ancient international order of MEW, and Quentin's entry into the kingdom was sponsored by the Earl d'Armagnac, Bishop of Crypto-Kingdom who saw the potential of the young man. Quentin still owes his grace a debt of monies and gratitude. He saw that the town and kingdom were good places, and determined to settle there and make his fortune. He harboured no ambition to rise to the ranks of nobility but hoped to one day become a successful brewer of ales.

Quentin was soon struck by the architecture of the CK buildings and made it his goal to learn more of architecture so as to design and construct a house. Having drawn up some plans and gathered together funds for the building project, Quentin tried first to build in plots close to the old town north wall, but they were sadly claimed by others first. Undeterred, he went back to the drawing board and made a new design for a larger plot near the western wall. Through the king's generosity, the plan was approved and the land freely granted for the building. Quentin's house was completed in 1462.

In the run up to the jubilee celebrations in 1500, Quentin purchased a nice new red suit in preparation for promotion to Master and bought stock in the Grand Hotel as an investment. He also entered into the architectural contest, seeking to build his dream brewery. Sadly the strength of other entries was great and the Monero brewery came last. However, all is not lost as the Earl of Ramsey likes the design and it may come to light in some form elsewhere in the city.

After the jubilee, Quentin intended to undertake architectural work for the Bishop, but he found himself unable to discharge those duties to a good enough standard and was forced to resign the position. Now an old man, Quentin looks forward to handing over his property to his son Quicken, that he might realise the dream of running a wonderful CK brewery supplying craft ales to thirsty citizens and visitors alike.

The Earl of Rome

Mr. Luigi Romano, now the Earl of Rome, "burst" upon the scene way back in 1432 at the youthful age of 24. It seems like only a short time ago that he arrived in the kingdom from lands far to the west, but he is already 148!

Shortly after arriving, Mr. Luigi took note of the lack of organization in the stone industry (stone was being generated by gold staking, but the builders had no easy way of acquiring the stone they needed). Though he was quite poor at the time, with only 1,000 gold and minimal cash, he opened a stone dealership with the backing of then Expert binaryFate. The dealership was generally a success in the early days, able to provide the needed stone liquidity to those who desired to build.

30 years after arriving, Mr. Luigi became Lord Luigi, and managed to acquire a house on the prestigious Earl's St. in 1464, situated between the town residences of both a Prince and a Marquess.

In 1498, Lord Luigi founded the Most Ancient Corporation (the last of its kind) of the Lucky Lion. The LLC owns one of the most highly valued lots in the entire game, F7, which at one point had the colloquial title of "Best Lot in the Game". The Lucky Lion building was constructed there, which at the time (1490s) was the largest building in town.

Lord Luigi was promoted to Earl on his 100th anniversary of joining the kingdom.

10 years before his promotion, in 1522, stone had become very valuable (peaking at 225), and the peasants responsible for half of the kingdoms needs had begun to revolt as they felt they weren't being paid adequately (their sale price was fixed at 100). The peasants ceased providing stone, but instead quarries were opened to be run by players. This thrust the dealership to forefront, as it was responsible for purchasing a goodly portion of the newly generated stone.

34 years later, and the kingdom is in quite a different situation: the dealership is far and away the largest holder of stone, as the quarries have been quite productive and needed a party to unload their production on. However, the price has also dropped about 65% from its peak combined with minimal construction, resulting in dealership debt in the billions, and actual losses in the hundreds of millions.

Though the situation is not ideal for the Earl and his dealership presently, he is still hopeful that building will pick up, and that the best is yet in store for the kingdom!

Version 3 Finished

Minor alterations never end, but the main business pools, and year end calculations are now in their "final" shape. So it is possible to see detailed business accounting (projection for the next year) in T_MON2, and make the allocation decisions between all except Special businesses.

Many Specials are not listed yet. Please do it. The point is that every building that has a non-commercial function or even if a part of the building has it, it should be listed to let the Culture and Science flow.

The game has for the first time a "perfect" builded area accounting. The totals are listed inLOT and it can be allocated to various businesses in their respective tabs. If some remains unused, it will be rented for profit. At present, 53.5% of the total area is rented, but the number should go down a little as more Specials are correctly allocated.

Do not change any formulas, ever

It may sound tempting if you feel something is "wrong". Follow the formula rather, to find which input is incorrect, and change that one. Inputs are cells that contain values.

Building is starving; -25% off of Labor

(and stone is nearly free already)

The Labor cost of building (stone, labor, imports) will start to be based on the business cycle, so that labor is cheaper if building is sluggish. The cost is based on the last 5 years average construction activity, and is a fixed percentage announced beforehand for every year inSchedule tab. The starting value is 75%.

Note to BI's: When distributing the building cost to pools, please add the amounts of the previous SERVICES and LABOR pools, and put all of it to the Special Services pool. It will be distributed as a lump sum to all pools in the Year End procedure.

We also like the city beautified. There are areas that are best left dirt-surfaced. The Jousting ground is one. The only one.

And even that could be gardened with no real damage to anyone. Gardening adds peace, beauty and value to the city, and the price of it goes directly to Labor.

- Our wish is that if there are any lots purchased for later use, the owner would make them gardens while waiting, unless the place is in the middle of nowhere of course. Especially in the Old Town Centre, in the 125th anniversary of the oldest buildings, we still find dirt. That should be gardens instead (or buildings - the centre pays out quite nicely).

- Also a million-stone monument, perhaps in 2-C as Lord Paulson mentioned, or in 2-NE in the park.

- We might need a new office building, or perhaps build one just because it's fun and it's important to have Town presence in all the boroughs.

- The University is 35 m high and as such, the highest building in town (built with pedestal according to normal rules). An actual tower, however, would be higher, and may get a height rule exception.

- The Church needs to start working also - in one of the first 9 boroughs, there will be a site for a seriously great sacral building, with walls several meters thick and dome seriously big. Built mostly of stone and not necessarily many windows, or a high lux at inception (because it can be increased later), it becomes surprisingly affordable.

- DETAILED tabs of 2 and 3 have not been started because the V.4 was promised to come. Well, now we have to start them anyway, and there's a converter that makes the data in V.4 format, so this is not even double work, really.

- If there are some builded lots, the streets to them should be built.

- Supplying the Army is a Royal privilege, but we do not reject the gift from the Town, for example to finalize the Citadel after nearly 100 years of construction.

I would propose a clock tower for the central monument of 2-C to the great benefit and beautification of the town. The specialist nee artisan who has worked on these has some very functional models that should keep wonderful time if built large enough. It can work!

The quarriers have worked hard and diligently for many years and still do in the burgeoning businesses there. Something is needed to melodically chime the hours to add a level of precision and joy to these labors. It would inform on the hours of services at the coming church, and importantly signal the beginnings and endings of happy hours at the nearby taverns.

A clock tower monument for for the center, it will show we mean business!

The Hypothecary Bank is concentrating on its core business (stuff for SALE)

The recent circumstances have shown that for the Hypothecary Bank to speculate on land value, does not hedge the risk that the customer loans create, because the performance of the loans and the land values themselves are very much correlated. So reserves are unusable, and/or pressured in price when they are most needed.

There is hardly a game asset not correlated with the ingame business cycle, of course, but at least gold is more liquid. So we select gold to be the backbone of the reserves.

1- Final development of the Joust Arena in 1-W
2- Culture monument (TBD) at Culture Square in 1-E
3- Substitution of walled Haws at Old City for perimeter gardens until properly built by owners.
4- Paving of The Road from 2-E to the Old City
5- Development of Park at 2-S
6 - Mining Tribute Monument in 2-C center

I like monuments. Vote for the NL clocktower idea, for the Culture Monument in 1-E, Tribute Monument (to the Quarry v1.0?) in 2-C.

The sun rises on the University

Main building designed

Likely the largest building project by stone consumption, floor sqm and price as well.

- 24 q, largest development by land area so far (barring Citadel)
- 35 m high, the highest building in existence
- most rooms, probably (4th level alone features 28 rooms)
- likely most windows (see the pics)

Exact number of classrooms (40 sqm) vs. individual study rooms/apts/hotel rooms (12 sqm), as well as the lux% are still undecided. Also if a second kitchen/tavern is wanted.

The chapel here is the 4th holy room in the town:
- Cathedral 1432
- Royal Palace Chapel 1432
- Chapel in Village
- Chapel in University Main Bldg

Chapelry is named after a chapel, so there should be one in each, if there is more than a handful people living in it.
