    I hath 30 bitcoins at the moment is that a good all round figure?? I wold of liked to have around 300, however...

    I'm considering dumping all that and investing in a cheaper alt coin Peercoin because of Proof of stake it operates greener than bitcoin.

    I don't want to go half and half its either all or none.  

    Peercoin price is at 1$ I'm not sure on the math but I suspect Peercoin is better for me I already hath 800PPC right now but I'm not sure if I should go all in to 11000 PPC and if the price of PPC goes up to 50$ or more the benefits would be huge I'm torn to shreds I can't stop thinking about it.

    plus I hath x2[Antminer S1] running 24/7 I can get about 2-3 PPCs a day Bitcoin isn't worth mining anymore wots the incentive?

    wot should i do?Huh

    Not sure if you're serious, but if you are serious then hold your Bitcoins.

    Don't waste your precious Bitcoins by investing in altcoins.

    Peercoin will never ever reach 50$  Grin

    yes i am im not here to trip anyone up the potential of this is huge I just want to make the right decision and if I fail I think I would probably kill myself it will be with me for the rest of my unfortunate life

    It's never safe to go "all in" when investing in altcoins. It's safer to trade in the short term by investing small amounts of BTC in undervalued developing coins and accumulate BTC in the long term.

    Green or not, I dont see any hints something different than Bitcoin is going to be used as a most used cryptocurrency in the future. BTW I never heard about Peercoin before, but I know there are maybe 100 different PoS coins already. If ever something become necessary for Bitcoin to keep dominating in future as well, I believe Bitcoin will be adjusted.

    In this particular case, it does not make any financial sense. If you want to support PC buy some and use some. But to go in like this -- well, i don't think it would be wise.

    Why not play the arbitrage game instead. Invest some of your bitcoins in an exchange and see where that takes you -- and only buy and sell alts you want to support... even if you lose its a better state of affairs if your main concern --  money aside -- is being green...

    I wouldn't trust all my investment in an altcoin. Bitcoin will survive. Altcoin depend on whether people are interested in them.

    Altcoins don't have infrastructure being built on a scale like Bitcoin. It's mostly just mining, but the ecosystem is not there for alts.

    thank u for u replies ive given it some thought and... i will keep the 800 ppc and when/if the price goes up ill cash in for bitcoin and repeat the process... however i dont like waiting months for this ai am addicted i hath a big problem i think.

    however its a bit of a double edged sword the only way altcoins will increase in price is if the main bitcoin price goes up most of the popular alts are linked with the market price give or take a few fluctions

    then get yourself an account on an exchange, if you havent done so already, and start trading coins. this should satisfy your 'addiction'. Wink

    i hath i use btc-e, cryptsy, Bitstomp, Bter(no longer because its chinese, troublesome interface).

    BTCJam is a loan thing so far I've received 50% of my investmont of 10$ just to test it out.  Right now I've just sent 1btc to btcjam and hopefully I can spread the risk of loans to my benefit.

    Exciting times indeed I believe bitcoin will give power back to the people and govermont will serve as intended.

    The things that I can do now with bitcoin I could only ever dream to do in fiat.  I just love the freedom it brings this is the way it should be now I dont hath to answer to those nanny twats.

    I have 1000 PPC but would not recommend buying any. I learned afterwards how unlike a commodity it is and wish I did not buy them. But I will keep them just because it was one of the first ones. They are built to lose value over time, not gain value.

    Keep 20BTC. Play with 10BTC. DO NOT GAMBLE or invest in altcoin start ups. Read some of Haploid23 posts, he seems to do well with buying/selling. There are a lot of risks even in something so simple so do your homework.

    this is big myth: bitcoin isn't "green" enough because of proof of work mining.  But all that energy goes to secure the network, it is not a waste any more than saying security guards are a waste at a bank unless someone breaks into the vault every day.

    If you worry that your antminer is not being utilized then use it to mine ppc and then to convert to btc. I saw the hype earlier about nubits that pushed ppc price to 3 fold and then now is slowly retrace back. So you better be sure you are making the right decision. Also to convince you on a fact, didn't you notice that all  altcoins are using btc price set as benchmark. If that is not strong enough to make a point
