I really didn't find the Blocknet ICO shady whatsoever-- quote the opposite in fact. It had all the transparency I would expect from a complex offering issued in the context of an unregulated environment.

Conversely, I passed on the opportunity to mine XC (or rather X11coin) at launch, as at the time it was a naked attempt to ride DarkCoin's new algo-related success. I'm glad that instead of dying down and being abandoned it was taken up by a solid dev team. However I have not invested after the fact as I believe Dan's expertise is overhyped and there's too much self-congratulatory groupthink about this and other topics within the XC community. (Though these sentiments are likely borne from early bagholders' desire to lock in their lucky windfall.)

I think a forum like this will renew my attention to XC, if it remains unbiased and doesn't devolve into a fudfest.
