Here is what I learned, in order to obtain the BTC for free, without getting spammed and such.

I always use a fresh/alternate e-mail address.  I definitely do not want spam.  For a phone number, I use google voice.  I obviously will not give them my personal cell number 

I avoid surveys, because they tend to "screen" me out.  I avoid downloads at all costs, they will infest your pc with bad things.  I go after the simple form submissions, in some case it's first name/last name/email.

Anyhow I grinded out several hundred points and put in a redeem request on their site, and received BTC.

Because I did not pay for any of this, I consider it a "free" way to get coins.  Also keep in mind I'm not trying to promote it, but I saw this thread and thought that the material may be appropriate.
