GoldPieces is an energy efficient proof of stake coin designed for the multiplayer gaming industry. Imagine playing your favorite MMORPG, grinding stats and accumulating GP, that's cool right? Now imagine having the ability to send those GP you earned fishing on Karamja to another game entirely. We think in-game currency should be decentralized and you should too! 4,330,000 coins in circulation (Updated: May 30th 2020). The staking rate is around 10% per year. GP launched in January 2015 as proof of work for the first ~1.5m coins, and has been Proof of Stake since. The original mining algorithm was X11.
