Edit: Also, the file should go in your AppData/Roaming/Kobocoin folder

I have 3 conflicted stake claims that are the same as described in this situation; the description that I placed emphasis on previously explains exactly why you didn't get it.

Basically you just got unlucky (that's what I understand anyway).

POW is still going on, so you are basically competing with hardcore miners while staking. I doubt that you will have this issue when Proof Of work is completed.

Open, close, open close. I did it 3 times for it to work. I dunno, give it a shot.

I was looking for an independent assessor to perform a sanity check on kobocoin so it's great to see this. I wasn't aware of the sync checkpoint issue. I'll look into that. With the launch, I see that as being over and done now. The launch was only a success because of the efforts of ocminer - owner of Suprnova Mining Pools. Without his help the network wouldn't have had a node. I'm eternally grateful.

We're in the process of upgrading the platform for the release of the Android wallet. This includes our own ABE explorer and DNS seeder. It's caused a delay in the Android wallet being released but it benefits the platform in the long run. There are further improvements we're also looking into. I'll update the thread as they're confirmed and rolled out.

sad that i miss this one normally i should notice interesting coins, but....
