Well, I don't think I would sell all of my bitcoins, ever. I would sell some of it if 1 bitcoin is equal to around 1 million, that would mean I would've made a bunch of profits.

Which is what I'm going for but I would never sell all, maybe just a portion of what I own.

That's true but what if I like to safe some of my bitcoins for more future investments? I won't ever sell all of them because I'm still gonna need them.

For me it would also depend on how much the dollar will be worth at that moment. If 1 btc would be equal to 1.000.000, and let's say I would have 50 btc I would trade in half.

I think that would be enough for a lifetime and hold onto the other 25.

That would be nice idea, holding some 25 bitcoins after you cashed out some $25M. This is showing up your continuous faith on bitcoin ecosystem. I do dream of this kind of plans, but still hunting for one full bitcoin.

In general, never sell all Bitcoins at one time. There is a system people posted here a few years ago where you sell never more than 10% of your coins and buy back cheaper. Another issue to take into consideration is tax. It might make much more sense to sell peu à peu to avoid tax as much as you can.

If you only own a very small amount of BTC it could make sense to sell at local highs and buy back cheaper, but even if you own a fraction of a BTC I would not recommend it.

Perhaps if BTC lost all its value we will all be selling our coins, but it would be much too late anyway. Even in such a catastrophic case, it may be smarter to hold than to lock in losses.

Yeah if you want to make it big then you should dream big too, you know never what future is gonna offer us and I believe that what you are saying would be surely true one day, and that's what we all are hoping for if it reaches to $10k I would sell all my bitcoins and say bye bye to bitcoins.
