do you use electrum?

On desktop Electrum, he can click on tools -> sign/verify message. Then he can input the message and the address he wants to use and click on verify.

On mobile Electrum, he can click on his wallet name -> sign/verify message.

There are many bitcoin wallet that has the feature. Bitcoin Core (a full client wallet), Sparrow, Bluewallet, Blockstream Green, Unstoppable few other wallets, including some close source wallets which I will not mention.

If you are looking for a good bitcoin wallet, Trustwallet is not among. Coinomi can sign bitcoin message. I knew this since 2020 that I used the wallet until I came to this forum to know the difference between open source and close source wallets.

This usually don't happen in the other way, because the Electrum standard use another encode byte that is not compatible for the Legacy Signature Chekers

Yes exactly, and that is my whole point, why the signatures for segwit isn't an standard yet, regardless its trivial to extended the current standard to check them, a lot of wallets support it, just the "standard" title is missing.
