I dont think if this a good idea, why would some one do this?
It allows everyone to link an identity here on BitcoinTalk to a Bitcoin address and its signature.
I suggest that you do not actually store any Bitcoin in that address (or at least not for long, move it elsewhere), but it allows you to sign future messages to confirm that you really posted that message and not some malicious hacker who has compromised your account. This allows a level of trust that you can normally only get by meeting someone to know that they are the same person each time.
