i think the best argument, honestly, is the one where a fundy (as we call them here) calls out to an 'athiest' (or put slightly better, someone who just goes about their life without feeling the need to organise and criticize others) and asks them what their issue with religion is.

there isn't actually any issue, however the question inevitably turns to, 'how cant you believe in my magical pixie fairy with a beard', 'explain the wonders of the world without a greater being'. this is the obnoxious part.

i honestly think religion, or the concept, was created to prevent certain types of personality/people from going nuts. honest opinion, not trolling here.
easy to grasp the concept, if you look at where we all are; how separate yet together we can all be, wars, millions of miles/distance separating us - and we're just chilling.

some people need to think there is 'more'. up to them.

It is even stranger that when I explain how the things you call contradictions aren't contradictions, you seem to completely ignore what I say, when all you have to do is explain why you think my explanations are wrong. Why can't you, or won't you, get into the nitty gritty details of stating why you think something I explain is wrong? Methinks that you can't.


Isn't that what we are doing in the forum here, even if it is a rather simple joining?


Why do you even say this? I never said my life is so wonderful. You resort to writing things about me without anything to back them up. Yet, when I back up the things that I say with a readily available preponderance of proof and evidence, you simply run past it as though it didn't exist. You show your weakness this way. You have no proof, and little evidence, yet you want to twist things around, just like a troll.


What does this mean? You can't even write things that make sense.

Since I have never highlighted my life as being best, you couldn't have pointed out any fallacy regarding it. Rather, you are simply trying to avoid the fact that there is nothing that you have that can contradict the proof and evidence that God exists.

Why are you so against the truth? Why would you rather attempt to live your life in ways that won't work? Are you so desirous of death, but such a suicide chicken, that you have to get death in any way that you can? So you do it by turning against the God Who maintains your life?

Look at the joys that exist in your life (even though there are troubles and pains as well). God offers you the joys without the pains... in the next life. Turn to God and live.


Again, a statement without evidence. And, a statement that is designed to avoid the points, that God exists, and that Bible obedience is accomplished by believing in Jesus.



Only people who don't realize that atheism is a religion of non-religion might become atheists. Because people are religious beings, atheism is a religion of self destruction. I understand why you would suggest that someone become an atheist. Misery loves company.

Atheism is a religious denial of religion. Being a RELIGIOUS denial, it becomes a religion, and all the more so when it is thought about and spoken about by the atheist. Atheists who think and speak about atheism are forming dogmas about it in their lives. Atheism IS DEFINITELY a religion.

In all the controversy in websites, between atheism as a religion and atheism not being a religion, those sites that show atheism is a religion, do it by showing the similarities between atheism and other religions. Those who try to explain that atheism is NOT a religion, usually get away from the point, and start condemning the idea that God exists, rather than showing how atheism is not a religion. Atheists that do this are the most religious of all atheists, because they are adding dogmas to their simple religion.

I am opposed to mocked and joked about the feelings of believers. In any case, they sincerely believe in God. If you cannot convince them, it is primarily talking about the lack of arguments you have. Any dispute must be tolerant.

You say that you God speaks through the Bible, but the Bible was written by man. What does God do? In addition to her many controversies which have no logical connection.

Not God directs man to write books. Are you familiar with examples of when God inspired an illiterate man write a book? In the books people Express their thoughts. There is a book "the ABC terrorist." It is also God wrote?

God doesn't direct every book to be written by His desire. Often He is simply following the requests of the hearts of those who write the books, when He directs the way those books are written.

The Bible is the only book God directed to be written from His own heart. He allowed His faithful writers to use their own words, even though He was the One doing the directing, rather than the free will of the writers.

You are, without realizing it, examining the pain that Jesus suffered on the cross. He, as God, allowed all kinds of evil including evil writing, because that was what people were asking of Him. It hurt Him deeply, even caused His death, to uphold this mankind-corrupted universe even though He was perfectly righteous. He did it to give people the opportunity to be saved from their corruption.

Soon Jesus will return and completely destroy this universe.

Virtually all nudists wear clothing now and again. That doesn't stop them from being nudists, just as it doesn't stop religious people from claiming to not be religious.
