Uefa put Psg transfers, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, under investigation for financial fair play.
UEFA put Paris Saint-Germains finances under formal investigation Friday, citing recent transfer activity that triggered concern the club was again flouting rules designed to control excessive spending by top European clubs.
PSG said it was surprised by this approach from UEFA, less than 24 hours after the transfer window closed in France. The club is very confident in its ability to demonstrate that it will fully comply with Financial Fair Play rules for the fiscal year 2017-2018, PSG said.
I think it is necessary to introduce precise rules (for example, salary cup as in NBA) to prevent some teams from overcoming rules.
I really think that UEFA has no case in this regard because Mbappe deal is a loan with the option to buy for a fixed price, but with the Neymar deal i think there is indeed need for an investigation because PSG were unable to offload any player and i smell something fishy about where the funds they raised to pay Neymar's buyout clause came from.
