It is become wrong when you started to lose your money and family. If you really can't control yourself and your emotions towards gambling then don't gamble because this will ruin your life in the long run. Learn to play smart and have fun when you gamble.
That is how gambling should be done, unfortunately, due to our search for money, we took gambling as a way of living or if not a way to make money, along with our money, we include our emotion in betting, and all of it will toll in the end if not controlled, it is not happening only in gambling, almost in anything, if we are doing it too much to satisfy our desire.
It if okay to search for money in gambling since it is really possible to do it, however if we are not doing it properly we will end up losing and as you have mentioned, that emotion is the hindrance to our success since it will always ruin our game plan and we will not be able to execute it very well.
