They aren't in the same scenario. LBJ had a seriously great supporting cast back then, OKC on the other hand goes -25 when WestBrook is on the bench. The supporting cast just isn't there yet.

If Westbrook wants to win a champion Oklahoma better start having some new players in town, with this kind of Roster Rus is lucky to even enter into playoffs. Definitely Russell Westbrook is most likely to win it because of his tremendous accomplished this season, breaking Oscar Robertson triple-double record. Although Harden and Houston eliminated OKC and Russell Westbrook, personally for me Russell Westbrook will earn his first MVP this year no doubt about it.
