Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves? That’s what I’m hearing. How does that make sense when they just gave KAT a quarter billion dollars? Will Gobert and KAT ever see the floor together? Something big seems to be brewing in Utah. It’s looking like they may gut the entire team. Waiting to see what happens with Donovan Mitchell now.

True, Celtics win in this trade, they basically loss nothing for this trade but gain a lon in Brogodon. Indiana should have at least ask for Grant Williams, but maybe C's are not willing to give up. There are also reports that they are getting Gallinari?

So Boston are almost complete now, we will see how they are going to execute next season as it seems they are very hungry and have the experience now.

A dumb deal imo, but they probably reading way too much into how young a squad they currently have, I mean 20 years old Anthony Edwards is 20, Jaden McDaniels, 21, D’Angelo and KAT are both 26, they feel they could afford to let their next few years of draft go for Rudy, but I'm just keen to see how they tend to go about having both bigs on the floor work.

Agreed KAT is more a power forward in a center body.  Gobert is a true center.  I mean how are you going to defend both of them lol.  The only downsize to this is minn giving up a ton of draft capital to make this happen.  If they are perennial finals contenders then it will be worth it since the picks will be late 1sts.

I hope Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Lebron James will wear different jerseys this upcoming season. Talents should be spread at different teams as we are tired of seeing a stacked team. It's good if that stacked team came from drafting those players but if the team was being stacked because they were able to acquire and sign different superstars, that will just make the competition not that competitive.

Like last season, that was the competition we want to see as it's not easy to predict games last playoffs and Finals. The same kind of competition should happen again next season where everything is unpredictable and lower teams can upset Favorite teams.

Most likely Durant and Irving might don different jerseys, but I doubt about Lebron. As far as talent spread, it has been the norm though, the Celtics dynasty of the 60's and then Lakers has history have good and pretty much stack up line. So that's how them are built and win championship I guess.


Last season there was injury and then players coming back from injuries as well like Thompson that really help them win another ring. Luka doing everything against the Suns. Maybe that is one upset, as the Suns don't have any answer for Luka's magic. But a good team like the Warriors stop Luka.

So now the Jazz has twin towers? Rudy Gobert and KAT? not sure if this is a good combination and what will Rudy bring to them? I think this is a bad trade for the Wolves, except for his defense, I don't think Rudy offers something that will change the course of their team. On the contrary he might be liable again when small teams going to take advantage of Rudy in pick and roll and then simply get past by him in iso play outside.

I don't know if these two players can get along in the game. Rudy Gobert is a good center but he's older now, so I think it wasn't a very good trade. Also, basketball players who have played in the same team for a long time may experience adaptation problems when they move to a new team.
If Gobert can get used to this team, they could perform quite well with KAT

Minnesota actually wants to get rid of Russell. I also think that Russell is not a good fit in Minnesota. His current contract is even more not worth to keep for Minnesota since he will become only a 4th option with the arrival of 3 time DPOY Rudy Gobert.   

I was very surprised upon seeing Gobert's message, thanking Utah and will now play with the Timberwolves. I knew Utah changed their hearts few months ago and preferred to just keep Mitchell. I just didn't expect of Gobert heading to Minnesota. A lot of thoughts came into my mind. Will Towns and Gobert combo along with Edwards work? Although we saw how Towns developed further his shooting skills, his body is just perfect for a physical type of game.

Nonetheless, this is still a good move by Minnesota rather than relying on their previous roster. Who knows, they will be the one to stop the trending small-ball offense. Both towers are very good team players too so they will adjust accordingly what's needed.
