I still think it makes no sense to get Irving when the team is already doing so well. I mean Mavs went to conference finals and that is with Doncic and good role players, they have no other superstar in the team. They could just keep it rolling like this for a while, and hope that they could get a superstar from some free agency or with some picks etc etc. That way, they would be able to get a ring, I am not saying that just because they reached conference finals once, they will do it again every year, they may not be that good again next season.

But, at least they have something they could hope for. With a big trade off, they would be risking too much, which may payoff, but Irving is known to not do well with teams, even if talented, hence I doubt it.

The Dallas Mavericks won. Why they should keep a player that there's no intention of playing with them? Brunson chooses a team that is not a playoffs contender so it all end up with the money. Dallas offered him with $45-50M 3-years contract and that was just a reasonable contact but he wants more that's why he take the Knicks' offer of $100M+ for 3 years. Imagine he's already on a good team but chooses the worst team. Dallas didn't match the contract as that was just a waste of the salary cap where they can use it to get more role players. Brunson is good but he's not Luka.

Someone also posted here that Brunson's hometown is New York and his father was part of the coaching staff of the Knicks. It means it's a good decision for the Mavericks to let go of Brunson as they already did their best to make him stay. Brunson was really going to Knicks but just waiting if the Mavericks will pay him more.

I think he deserves every penny of it, he really work hard to get to this position, winning multiple MVP's now. But the argument is, can he get this team at least to the NBA finals? Although Jamal Murray and then Porter Jr was injured, but if both or at least one of them play next season, I'm expecting the Dallas to make a run to the championship.

There's no debate for that, we all want them to see stay with the same team because of their contribution to the ring that they've got for the past season.

Well, those problems will certainly exist eventually. But it's for them to tackle it and they have just to lean on what they've said of keeping most of these players.

Is he that impactful to the Heat? I doubt that. The team have enough in that position to cover his departure. Let's not also forget that they drafted a 6' 11" guy Nikola Jović. That's younger and taller than him so I think they are still good even if they are not very active in the trades yet.

No if it's just him and some role players.

Not to devalue the competition in the East but we're talking about the Western Conference here. Each team needs at least three guys to contribute on a consistent basis if they want a higher chance at getting to the Finals.

The only team that was not aggressive on early trades and sign-up. Jokic will get his help. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. are healthy and those two had been the big contributors to their offense. They have the right roster and the skills, it's just the injuries that stopped them to be on top.
What's scarier is Jokic getting better and better at his role being the playmaker at a center position.

Yeah, but we have seen Luka doing it in the West beating the top seed Suns. In the beginning they are doing good when Porter Jr went down. But yet they still manage to win the playoffs.

And with Jokic's caliber, and some of their role players, Perhaps Jokic + Porter Jr, or Jokic + Murray might be good to contend in a very competitive West. Of course, they need to be complete, but at least someone who can complement him is needed to get past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

Of course he was. Tucker though getting old, he is a just a perfect player in his own game. A huge inexperienced rookie is nothing compared to a veteran like Tucker with many years in the playoffs including his championship experience. The guy is just too tough, a good passer who can also set up plays, he can defend and he can shoot. I expect Miami to look for a reliable replacement in his position.



I am doubtful on MPJ. I felt like he is just a hype and he cannot fill it once given a primary role. Anyways, I hope they all look healthy next season so we can see how it goes.

Warriors have proven that they don't need Durant to win, so there's no reason they will trade their young talent in order to accommodate Durant. Also, that will affect the legacy of Curry as with Durant, his production might be limited since during the seasons that they won a championship with Durant, it was also Durant who is the Finals MVP.

I think that's one big question mark when Durant left them, if they can win and Steph has proven it. Although they have lost a lot of players already, GPII is one Portland now, JTA signed with the Lakers, and Otto Porter with Raptors, Damion Lee with the Suns, Nemanja Bjelica is also gonna leave for his beloved Turkey.

They have gotten DiVincenzo though, so he has a lot to fill with the Warriors. But still the core remains and hopefully Wiggins and Poole can stay as well.
