Yep, the price in decred is 15,000 DCR today.
Decred is the only crypto that he accepts because he wants to put on POS mining.
He doesn't even accept bitcoin.

I'm doing it on my very old laptop. I do have optic fiber Internet though, and just keep it on 24/7.
I'm thinking to move my mining operation to the Raspberry PI I bought but I was too lazy to do it so far.

Go for it! You don't need them pools if you have a good enough Internet connection.
