consider putting release binaries on github using their release process, along with learning more about the inner workings and the updates to how the build system generates the client's version string. There has been extensive, and exhaustive, work done towards ensuring release binaries are concurrent with the git repository, but of course that will require your understanding of those systems and maintaining at least some level of updates with such systems.

Its not like there is a line up of people claiming to be the GPU dev, you know me, i was active every single day. i didnt run away and let someone else claim they were me. I didnt post malicious wallet links.

good publicity or bad, its all working. GPU was @ 10 sats 2 weeks ago, were holding steady @ 60+ now. This is just a bump in the road and we will be better for it.

I don't really agree with this concept of storing coins on an exchange. All the years I've been doing this the rule of thumb is that the last place you ever want to store coins long term is an exchange. In fact, one of the 3 exchanges we currently have was nearly destroyed by a hack as I know you are aware because you were impacted by it. Now that there are 3 exchanges splitting it up mitigates the risk but I would say that at least 50% of the pre-mine should be kept in cold storage.

My concern is not any person in this community, the dev or the escrow provider. It's exchange vulnerability to hacking or shut down, and we've all experienced that countless times.

I would personally like to see it in pure cold storage too. If it was up to me solely I would send it to a wallet. I would copy the wallet.dat file to several USB sticks and hide one in my house and put the other in my safety deposit box . Then completely remove the wallet from the computer. That's the only way I see it completely safe.

Even paper wallet and file it away somewhere.

That's a substantial amount of money were talking about here...

I responded via email on June 27 regarding the BE.

Explaining the entire process of github releases and how BTC's build system has been improved upon to make releases more deterministic would take considerable time, but the entire historical timeline of commits is viewable on bitcoin's github, as well as the peercoin (and/or blackcoin) github repository. This is compounded by the fact that GPUCoin's source is very far removed from what is current upstream.
