https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaA7m50V5pkBarterdex already looks very promising in the final update. I think a final version shouldn't be too far off?
Several small things that can be optimized to make trading and setup more fluid, but it is clear the basics are already very solid.
I read that Satinder Grewal is working on the next iteration of the GUI release now, excited for this, probably going to start playing around with this version myself as I have more spare time on my hands next week.
we keep improving things on several fronts and while it isnt non-technical grandma/pa friendly yet, i dont think that should be the next iteration.
For the next iteration it needs to be able to handle the NXT asset transfers and creation of trading markets. We have barterDEX integrated to tradingview on website
http://dexcharts.com/ and also within the client there is a fancy charting library. Most grandmas are not doing technical analysis and charting so to aim it at the totally non-technical next is a bit too soon.
Let us get the traders trading with barterDEX and then we can sort any remaining issues as the GUI devs make a simpler and easier to use interface.
Last I checked, there are no other atomic swap systems that even have a working orderbook. Let alone working via electrum, or allowing 0conf trading, or having liquidity multiplier. If the next GUI is oriented toward the experienced trader, it seems not such a bad thing. They are the ones most likely to timelock larger amounts to benefit from the faster trading anyway
This is good to hear. I agree, only the experienced would use it at first. I've been following Slack and BarterDEX certainly appears close to being ready. I'm crossing my fingers that we hear something official from the team very soon.
