The cause for the delay is known. The bitcoindark blockchain is extremely slow because most of the coins are not staking and out of circulation. Since BTCD is POS the options we have involve configuring staking servers to give the blockchain a jolt or a "heartbeat" which in theory will give it the boost to process the final transaction and those that are pending. ca333 is also working on another solution which involves a lite mode version for those who have btcd in their wallets and can't send due to blockchain speed. That is all I know, there is no set date for the announcement since we are in new territory (like most things we do). I can assure you that the core team is diligently working to jump this hurdle. Please be patient. We will all know more soon. The guys are working hard to make the final swap as smooth as possible once the problem is solved.

I have a large amount on the exchange, i sent it to my wallet btcd, but it is still not synchronized, what should I do?

To "stake" Komodo you don't need a physical wallet. You just need a wallet that you control. That means any Komodo native, lite, or paper wallet. Now you can even claim interest from the Ledger wallet.

5% interest acquiring can be done on any wallet, even paper wallet. in komodo we have special mechanism  in code where in a transaction  if nlocktime is set, you are eligible for 5% interest annually.

whoever said the deadline was jan 8th was incorrect
probably the slow rate of BTCD blocks was assumed.
I fixed the BTCD block rates and while it isnt 1440 per day, it is at least 100+ per day

so, the practical deadline is jan 14th and the ICO node's BTCD is now in sync, just waiting on the front end side to get updated to latest.

It's not about believing you or not ... The last information we have from the official information sources (blog and twitter) clearly mentions the 8^th of January as a key date. The fact that this deadline couldn't be met is not an issue per se. The issue is the lack of a very simple update. When the team realized that what they wrote about the 8^th of January was no longer achievable then they could've just made a post here and/or tweeted about it, that seems not to be costly and it may have prevented people from repeatedly asking and expressing doubts ...

Yes you did and thank you for it . The assumption is this may have been known before the 8^th and hence posted about in a proactive manner rather than in a reactive manner.

I find the price chart to be very interesting. Lots of ups and downs, almost cyclical. Were those correlated with good/bad news or why?
