Basically it was because of the sudden rise of prices too. I think this is what they are talking about. This was the correction they are saying that will happen. Looks like it happened too quickly, it happened within ten minutes. I watched this happen on poloniex. It was really scary to see my funds drop by 20% in just that ten minutes.

This was the expected correction but everyone thought that it will break the $1200 old price after that it will crash but same like before touching $1000 it crashed from $950 to $ 870 it went and was roaming in that range for some days and then it bounced back and went up to $1126 but now back the resistance is tested so i think this correction is healthy and if the price stays i this range then next bounce back we can expect the ATH price to be crossed and next all time high price range will be created.

The price should be around $550 (graphically progress since the start...)

yes the correction is expected but still there is strong support to the price if bitcoin, within house i saw the price fell down to 830 and now trading about 990 again. how price is going to cross its all time high price.

Well, I think the price of bitcoin today as well as a roller coaster. bitcoin prices rose to the height in less than 24 hours, and after a lot of people who hold their bitcoin, in the hope that prices will be higher bitcoin. but, in less than 24 hours as well, bitcoin prices back down almost 30%, but the current prices can still be said to be high.

That would be low, but it will give us the chance to buy bitcoin at very cheap prices if it happen, I don't see a reason why it should get that low, but even if if reached 700 that would still be a good moment to buy bitcoin.

The one who will panic in this type of correction will eventually giveaway their bitcoin to whales at very cheap price. Grin

I was never more optimistic about the future of bitcoin more then now personally. I do know that there still some issues that needs solutions but I guess we will eventually get there. Your thoughts ?

Well, I think most of the blogs/news sites talks about bitcoin reaching 1kUSD which is hard not to notice.
this kind of publicity puts bitcoin in a goods spot, people will become more aware of the existence of bitcoin
and may be intrigued about the price of it. a lot of things will happen this 2017 and more people will watch
the progress of bitcoin.

As expected. A drop more people called it a correction after a steep incline in price is normal. You have seen this kind of movement in Bitcoin last month. If I am not mistaken, i think there are 2 drops after it breaks $900 before bitcoin breaks $1000 barrier. It's really unstable now. Prices drops and rises within $900 and $1,000. Not really going below $900 too much, just reaching around $870 and not really going above $1,000. It's very confusing to decide whether to sell or not at this point. Probably, I'll just hold and see what happens. I just hope it going back to $1,100 and above.

Today the price is more stable than yesterday, and i think many Media only focused about the price rather than the Bitcoin uniqueness.

I hope someday Media will be bring news about the uniqueness, about blockchain technology and what Bitcoin being offered to the Online world and what benefit if people start to use Bitcoin for online payment and keeping it for a future system.

Back to normal again for the bitcoin with some gains. Maybe it just a break from its seemingly non stop climb but the demand remains strong according to some experts.

This attention of bitcoin will make price and the future of bitcoin keep rising up.

Yep, now it's back to $930 and it looks like it will be stabilizing at this level for quite some time. I just hope it does stabilize and not be jumping up and down by a big margin. That would make it too volatile to even use it. It would be hard to price things when the currency is fluctuating in prices. A stable $1,000 price level is what I want to see.
