[edited out]
I have read and reread this whole thread... I will probably end up doing it one more time after I really retire just to remember how I got here!!!
I started posting in this thread on
about page 4,551, yet I cannot recall going back and reading prior posts, except maybe sporadically or maybe if some member would reference some post that historically predated my participation.
To be honest, the closer I get to starting to sell this cycle, the fewer things I can think to do with the Dirty Fiat I am planning on acquiring. Plus, paying all those taxes seems like something I don't want to do...
I definitely don't want to go back to 2018; that was not a good feeling... And watching it get back down to 17k after 69k again was truly hard to get through.
Damned if you do and damned if you don't, which is part of the benefits in regards to figuring out some incrementalist approach, even though, sure many guys want to shave off a sizable chunk in the 20% to 30% or even more territories. Can't really blame anyone for that.
That's the thing: even if we remove a life-changing amount of cash, will your life really change? I know what I am supposed to do, but the more time that passes, the more I fear what I am "supposed" to do is going to end up being the wrong decision!!! I do feel like I am playing with the house's money in this case, but it really is mine to lose at this point.

Well there is price based withdrawal and time based withdrawal.
I have frequently considered that based on the both the financial and psychological calculations that any of us can enter price-based withdrawal sooner than we are able to enter into time based withdrawal...
Some guys sell more during the price runs so that they are better able to HODL through the low price periods, yet you could still incorporate both price-based withdrawals and time based withdrawals - based on some kind of incrementalist approach rather than trying to time the top.. .. which sometimes if guys are afraid to sell then they are bordering within a stage of perhaps feeling that they don't have enough bitcoin.
You can still figure out some kind of a formula to make sure that you fit within the formula.
So if you figure that you need
a minimum of $80k per year to live, then if you currently have at least 15.1963 bitcoin, then you have enough to live perpetually off of that bitcoin, even with an increase of 7% per year in the dollar amount.
So then you might calculate if you have the amount needed or if you have more than the amount needed.
Also you can calculate that if you have other sources of income, then that would absorb some of your costs so that you don't have to withdraw as much.
It seems that you are having the dilemma of figuring out how much extra to authorize yourself to sell. My already linked tool gives suggestions based on how high the spot price is above the 200-WMA, and currently the BTC price is only about 120% above the 200-WMA.
Will there be anyone on earth that can read this whole thread..starting from the first page
.lol, it is almost 34926 pages with each page containing not less than 20 post
calculating this that is almost
698,520 posts, if he could read 100 posts per day it will take him 6985 days or 19 years to complete and by then the thread might have reach 200,000 pages or even more

Well thinking about that, will there be someone who will embrace this journey and start reading from the first page of this thread and then we see the years it take him to read the thread completely or maybe to read just the first 1000 pages of this thread, it will be very interesting to see someone doing that
lol
or what do you think..?
well you had better start now then
To make it fun, you could continue to keep up with the current posts, and just make sure that you have read the thread through your whole registration date, and maybe a month or two prior to that, and then when you are reading as many of the earlier posts that you can, you might post a reference in the thread and make a comment and/or ask a question about the referenced post. Then perhaps all of us might be able to benefit from your efforts.
There are going to be some posts that are difficult to understand based on lack of context and even a lot of the earlier images are no longer showing, which might cause you to get through those portions of the thread more quickly to the extent that you might be o.k. with not understanding a decent number of the posts.
since you are quite a prediction guy, what do you think is the top this time, and also the bottom when the great crash comes...
honestly interested!
I mean you have some soma numbers in your head right?
I cannot predict how irrational the market will become.
I can only tell you that Treasury companies are whales selling their coins at a premium to suckers while saying Bitcoin is going to a million
That's nothing new. I hoped to hear more about your personal expectations. You were not shy to share your predictions about market timing so I hoped you could also share some numbers.
Nobody here knows 100% what the future looks like, but collecting thoughts from others helps to get a more nuanced picture.
OgNasty prefers to tell you after the fact that he predicted something that already happened, but he predicted it several years earlier, while at the same time letting you know how smart he was to trade on it.
well you had better start now then
Okay then, I will start the adventure tomorrow
maybe I might be able to read 3 pages in this thread per day
so I can also read from other posts and boards
Starting tomorrow I will post in this thread whenever Im done reading 3 pages of this thread
.
I know its worth reading this thread and I hope I enjoy my thrilling adventure..
That sounds like a good idea. You might also find that you are able to read more than 3 pages per day, and there are some days in which 10-20 pages of thread were produced, so 3 pages per day might cause you some troubles in terms of how much time it is going to take. Aiming for 10 pages per day might be better, even if you might not be able to fit it in your schedule in the beginning while you are getting used to it.
One of the problems with reading historical information, it might cause you to want to look into information that is related to the information that you would be reading.
By the way, if you are able to read the first 5k to 10k pages of this thread, then you might get some ideas about how to read (or peruse) through the pages of the thread faster in order siphon (and sort) the good information from the not so good... since there is likely to be quite a bit of fluff.
That being said, I am not complaining, and I was lucky enough to protect the .63 BTC I claim to have!!!
Fair enough.
Currently 0.63 BTC is ONLY going to get you a sustainable income of around $3,320 per year, which is about $277 per month.
Yet, I project that
by late 2040, 0.63 BTC should be able to get you a sustainable income right around $80k per year. YMMV.
