    Aurora alert!  It's on now and visible mostly in northern latitudes.

    edit: watching it in Maine, New York, Michigan, Ohio and even sighted a little east of Fort Wayne, Indiana

    edit4: It's not really bright but I can make it out with the naked eye from here ~45N latitude (I might head north for darker skies) and I see reports from just east of Pittsburg PA

    Here we can see neither aurora australis, nor borealis, is tropic here.
    In the live video there is a guy in front under the tree with a flashlight there.

    But I'm answering here to complement, other  rare event also happening today and tomorrow, tomorrow will be the peak of the event.
