Is there a hospital in the world that is using this technology? I just can't see how a hospital can agree to such a thing (ever)

?
Just because you are cluess about it, that does not mean that there is not a need. In the US it is currently a nightmare to try to get medical records from facility to another. Many places will just make you redo a lo of labs and physical already performed in another facility simply because its easier and faster for them to obtain than to request. The insurance company eventually gets billed twice for the same diagnostic, the patient ends up paying the same copay twice as well and it amounts to a waste of time and money. Now imagine that you were seeing several doctors because you had a severe condition and wanted to get multiple opinions for treatment?
Even though the hospitals now have switched to EMR, the EMR of each facility is completed independent form the facility next door, meaning again that the doctor or care team in a different facility can't possibly know what treatments, medications or allergies you may have. Ptoy solves all of this.
