Indeed its a double edge sword. As we find bitcoin to be a safe haven say like for investors, criminals also find it a safe haven, exploiting it and used it for criminal intent, like buying drugs online and using it as payment for hacking activity because of its anonymity. Satoshi didn't design bitcoin to be like this, and so don't put all the responsibility or criticism on bitcoin technology.

 I've also seen and heard some statements about this bitcoin as a tool that causes criminal things like drugs and terrorism, some of which light up using the prohibited bitcoin feature freely.

Bitcoin doesn't encourage or aid in criminality.  Does a shovel encourage you to kill someone and bury a body? No. However, criminals  - especially tech savvy ones - will use every tool at their disposal, plain and simple.  These are ALL the same discussions we had with eGold.  "Is it real money?"  "Will it last?"  "Is it a tool of criminals?"  

Don't blame the technology. Blame the people who make their living stealing from others.

i am sure that same is the case here, in my area even the actual number of bitcoin users are also very low, i do not think that in current position there will be a single criminal who may be using bitcoin for criminal activities.

If there is a prediction like that then i would call them as bluff as you really can trace all the transactions done through bitcoin and so it is really not anonymous as you call it is,people who are ignorant would come to a conclusion like these,criminals will always find ways to carry on with their criminal activities even if there is no bitcoin.

it is wrong that the crimes are increasing with bitcoin. As the criminals are using their currency and any currency they find. Like if they find USD then they will accept USD and if they will find euro then they will accept euro. They accept any currency and they have their goal. We cannot blame bitcoin.

I agree with you. The fault will never be of currencies or objects, but of persons. Even if you forbid persons to use bitcoins they will find another way to act like criminals, they can find another currency, another method...
And bitcoin isn't impossible to track. If there are serious investigations, authorities can reach to the thieves to make them pay for the crimes.

Eh, let me temper this a little. Suffice to say I know a few drug dealers bitcoin is popular only among the most computer literate, and successful dealers. Why? Bitcoin isn't spending money folks. If you make enough illicit funds to have to hide them for the IRS, bitcoin is the most perfect vehicle for money laundering since the casino or the vending machine. But if you make enough to live well, and not save massive amounts of cash for later, cash will be your king. Not worth the conversion fee, and never worth the block chain if the amounts of money are big enough for the IRS to give a fuck. The block chain is permanent, you don't want ATF crawling a public record to make a case for you in court. These things don't occur to low level drug dealers, but for those that truly profit off of vice, operational security is key. With perfect hygiene, bitcoin provides the anonymity a dealer needs to operate and live normally. But that's hard, and the FCC just made it a bit harder.

Well it makes sense as to why they would talk about those things so commonly though. Since Bitcoin is something that is typically not a good thing for "business" (if you're catching my drift) and there are a lot of people in opposition to something like that, it only makes sense for it to be brought up when it is found in some illicit manner.
Bad news is good ratings news anyways. Few people want to hear that Bitcoin is fine n dandy.
