There are these what they call "faucets" but yeah, it will only be few satoshis and you have to be on the look out on collecting. I don't know how this one works but my husband have tried it. It takes a lot of time. But hey, you did not invested right? So that is a plus.
Second and this is what i mainly suggest. Try joining signature campaigns but first you have to be a junior member so that the pay out will be much decent than for newbies. If you have earned already, then try placing your bitcoins in tradings so that you still earn outside campaigns.

technically you can't earn without investing something, for example your suggestions requires him to invest atleast his time and effort so I think he need to know that in order to achieve something he needs to offer something in return, its is like an unwritten rule in this world where everyone should give and take harmoniously.

You still can make money while you are newbie on this forum, the signature campaign not is the only way to make money through Bitcointalk. You can find some social campaign on Services board or bounty campaign, then you only work as the requirement of the campaign you joined.
