You don't have to necessarily watch the screen for the auto bet to keep running. What I usually do for the auto bet to continue if I plan on multi tasking is to have it on a seperate window it should continue as long as you let it run on the back.
That would probably take years to make 1 billion bets if you're making 1 bet per second, i don't think someone would waste their time just to make a billion bets.
It would take 30+ years since the delay could be more than 1 second and making 1 billion bets just for the promotion doesn't help when you're competing against so hundreds of gamblers.
