Exrates.me and SegWit2X Protect Coin Holders from Fraud

Miningpool.shop was among the first to support the Bitcoin SegWit2X fork and immediately set up B2X coin mining.

At the beginning of 2018 the pool created a bot-exchanger, that was functioning in the Miningpool.shop group in Telegram in order to simplify financial operations. Having discovered bugs in the bot code, some users started using it for their personal profit: over 6 thousand B2X were illegally withdrawn.

Cryptoexchange Exrates.me, where more than a half of the stolen coins appeared, helped to restore justice. Since Exrates and B2X have close partnership relations, the representatives of the cryptoexchange immediately notified the SegWit2X team.

As a result, the stolen assets were frozen and will be returned to their owners soon.
