My wallet has stopped synchronizing today, is anyone experiencing the same problem? I'm still having the olf wallet, didn't upgrade it to the newest yet - could that be playing a role?

It is a two minute upgrade. Just upgrade and you don't have to worry later.
I hesitated because my antivirus was deleting the wallet as soon as I downloaded it. Now I have managed to add an exception.
I have now switched to the new wallet. But occasionally I've noticed the synchronization gets lagged a bit. Nothing to really worry about since finally it catches up, but what would be the reason?
What are you running it on? MAC or win? I have no problems on WIN, all is running smooth as babies butt
I too am on Windows, but the point is which antivirus you use. I'm using 360 Total Security which has the funny habit to delete DeepOnion's app as soon as I download it. Eventually I'm managed to add an exception, but it was not easy.
Same here. had some issues too adding an exception for the DeepOnion wallet.
Puzzles em though why different anti virus programms see DeepOnion wallet as a virus....

QT wallets are seen as threats since they can be modified by anyone.
That's how they are programmed.
Anyone can release a QT wallet , an exact copy. This is why AntiVirus won't allow it.

Yes, and check it with Deep Vault, to be sure it has not been altered. This is what I have finally done to be sure there was really no virus hidden in it.
same thing (qt wallet detected as potential threat) occourred a month ago, using malwarebytes
but the strange thing was that i was already running deeponion wallet for months without any warning ...
in the end if you are sure that this warning comes from onion wallet and you have downloaded a certified file from official channel you can safely give him an exclusion rule
