No masternode for now, POS require only the wallet to be open and unlocked for staking. Your reward will be 10% the first year and 5% second year. The first year is about to end...

- 10% annually till july, then 5% till July 2019... So with 500 coins you can expect to stake roughly 25 onions in 1 year after July... How often you receive a stake depends on your block sizes. smaller blocks give smaller rewards but more often while a big block will give a big(get) reward but less often. You always get rewarded the annual %
