So true, but I was swing trading to accumulate some sweet onions.
Some funds are stolen some not as I understand what happened to cryptopia.
Maybe someone knows if onions still are in cryptopias or hackers hands....
Maybe only ETH-based tokens were affected but this isn't confirmed an nobody is sure about the information. I suggest to wait for an official announcement because everything else you read is speculation. Your point is interesting, can you check the cryptopia address you sent the ONION to and see if your ONION is still there? Maybe others can confirm this as well.
I think the hack mainly affected Ether, among two other lesser known coins. DeepOnion was not there. So, DeepOnion is probably not affected. I think even if somebody would have Ether, if these three coins have been used for buying bids or selling by somebody, they too might have gotten locked and so might have been saved as hacker might be needing to
cancel all buying and selling orders (of three coins) first before withdrawing these coins.
