    I do have a fan on the boards.  Is there a better way to turn off a chip than setting autotune to 'a' and speed to 0?

    does the best.conf file get overwritten if I put new boards onto the m-board?  I'm not sure how tweeking a couple of chips in the first 4 boards would change things so much that it would allow me to put more h-boards on without generating all the errors that I saw in earlier runs - is it that significant?

    Change the aiFDSo to the example below and what it will look like when its off.

    To turn them off you have to set it to aifdso the number beside it i normally leave it at 55 or for reference points 50

    Chip number 25 is not turned off. You can tell by the fact that there is still numbers on the line and by the big 0 next to the off.

    I have found you should set the aifdso to all lower case in order to effectively turn off a chip. You can probably get away with putting ai lowercase. However I use letters lowercase text to disable the chip.

    I am going to try jumping with solder bridges to see if I can get past the blockage.  Without a multi-meter (and knowledge of how to use it) there is no way to know if the blockage is at the last chip reported... or the next chip.

    I receive my soldering station today and will report my results tonight.  Worst case, I will be taking my EOL board from 6 chips to 5 chips.... Best case I will take it to 15 (though more likely 14).

    Some H-boards have errors that keep them from communicating properly.  Those boards have to be placed at the end of the communication chain or End Of Line.

    Most of my cards seem to be about 20GH but a few are 30GH. Would be really great to get them all up to the 30GH somehow.

    You can 'overclock' them with the pencil mod but you cannot do it on a full rig if I am not mistaken.

    I've done it on a full rig, albeit moderately to about 440 GH/s. The regulator and 30A fuse are on each individual H-card.

    I thought this could be the reason, vibration induced by the flow, so I removed my fans from Spotswood case.

    I'll try to have them reversed, so that they suck up air through the cards instead of pushing it, this should cause less vibrations.

    We'll see.

    Or you could put a bit more downward pressure onto the top edges of the h-boards by "raising" the rig a millimeter or two, by putting washers underneath each spacer (between the extrusion and the spacer).

    Finally had time to make some setup progress.  Had a monitor that would not work with the pi.  Changed out monitors.  Followed the instructions to correct the gateway address to my gateway.  I went back and double checked.  After two trys it stuck.
    But now when I go one of my PC's and type the 192.168.1.249 in I just get "This Page can't be displayed."  Tried it on two computers and two different browsers.  Any thoughts?  I'm close!

    Double check the "address" entry in that file again, and/or check your router for the ip address.  If you successfully changed the gateway, it may have been assigned a different IP address.  On the Pi, you should be able to enter the ifconfig command and see a display like this that shows its IP:

    I got my replacement M-board after first one was DOA, thanks Dave!

    When I use pools that start with stratum+tcp:// it doesn't seem to work. I can connect fine to pools without that at the beginning, but with that it doesn't seem to start.
