    hey what pool(s) are people using for bitfury?

    Slush's is my [previous] preference, and has a 30day luck >100%
    Bitminter has fewer fees + namecoin (this is about a 4% bonus, correct?), but the luck recently has been around 90%

    my slush pool with bitfury is reporting only about 1000Mh per worker (3Ghash) why?

    Same problem here.  My miner is running at 25 ghash, but Slush's stats show just 1.5 ghash.

    i noticed that in the last 2 days at some point they changed the accounts page and removed the ability to set a difficulty. perhaps that is related?

    It definitely seems to be a problem with Slush's pool.  I tried BTC Guilld and my miner runs fine.

    I  chatted with DrHaribo of BitMinter. After checking my logs and tracking performance he is thinking there is a problem with chainminer. He told me that he is going to contact BF to investigate further.

    Having a problem getting the miner to start,

    I changed the gateway and connected to the IP address of the pi through a browser.

    I setup my pool and hit start, but the noncerate is stuck at 0.  I've tried different pools and stopping/starting the miner through the webpage but no luck.

    Here is the output of my stat log:

    So it looks like my chips are recognized, but aren't mining.  Is there a way to see a log of errors?  Any other suggestions?  I just got the v2 august starter kit today.

    It is possible you just aren't connecting to the pool.  Remember that you do not need the preceding http:// for the pool URL. The port should be 3333 and double check the worker name and pass is correct.

    Lastly make sure all three sections of the proxy information is the same. That is not really to set up backup pools.

    That is a feature I would like to see in future versions though. Smiley

    Oh thanks!  I was putting port 8332 for the 50btc pool but changing to 3333 worked.

    My kit has developed stability issues in the last few days.
    On power up or miner restart, it runs at full speed (around 40 gh/s) but then starts losing hashrate. Right now it only takes 10 minutes before the speed is down to 0.

    Any ideas on what i can do?

    looks like one of your chips is generating miso errors.  you will need to find the chip and turn it off.  try chip 24 first since that's the one with the most.

    If you're experiencing drop in hashrate, go to Worker and set difficulty to 64.
    (My hashrate is 36Gh/s apparently)

    Since setting it to 64, I haven't had any significant drops there (to like 20Gh/s) for nearly 48 hours.

    Wouldn't that put you at about 6 shares per minute? I'd expect you to see a greater variance in hash rate rather than a consistent one. The pool I mine with auto adjusts to 12 shares per minute. With my bitfury units at 200GH each that comes to about difficulty 200 it seems. They are rock solid and match the stats almost exactly. Almost no rejects either.      .05% over the last week.  Have you tried Difficulty 32? How did that work?

    Im using bitminter with difficulty of 16 for a starter and it works great. The card has a hashrate of 36.5GH  with the noncerate (and pool reported) being 33.25GHash.
    help requested:

    1) chip 6 is producing a few miso-errors (about 4%) plus the same number of hardware/stale errors. its pretty low, and only 2 other chips report miso-errors (1% and 2% rates). should i be concerned/fixing this?
    2) a chip (varies time to time) has stopped a few times recently, usually in the first 5 minutes from reboot (if they start at all). Its running okay now after using stop miner/start miner via web gui, but is there a known reason for the issue or a solution? the chip is manually tuned at 54?
    3) when tuning, what error rate should we go for to get the best result? Generally, ive tuned anything with <10% to run at 55, and over 10% i tuned to 54 or even 53. In most cases, tuning down to 54 seems to barely increase the effective noncerate from the drop in both hashrate and error rate. Is 10% errors a good threshold for tuning, or should i use lower (ie 5% or maybe 7%)?

    The card is cooled somewhat aggressively, with tiny heatsinks on each chip (same size as chip) plus 5 slightly larger heatsinks (about 4x the surface area) centered on the back of the board, opposite the capacitor banks (that way, each sink is centered for the 4 nearest chips). a 120mm fan is aimed normal to the board about 5" away. nothing gets hot, just reasonably warm

    Looks like my chip 17 took a dump. Maybe my EOL card is 100% dead now instead of 50%.
    Guess I'll wait to mess with it until I get to work tomorrow.
    20Gh/s overnight is way better then 0 if the SD card is popping errors again.

    use the webgui to stop and start the miner. sometimes that throws a 'stalled' chip back into gear. I sometimes find my unit running only 15 chips, and this fixes it

    Ok, got to work.
    Tried to reboot the Pi and as expected the whole thing crashed out. Bad SD card.
    I bought 2 8GB Class 10 cards from Microcenter.
    Loaded one up and WOW the response is so much quicker!
    Back up hashing now no miso errors.

    Actually... there has always been that 1 miso error on chip 1, but it doesn't appear to propagate to the rest and eventually disappears when I pull logs.

    What exactly are the miso errors? I usually get 3-5 of them in my stat.log file, and have seen a single chip stop hashing from time to time. Is it related to voltage mod, or something inherent to the board? Hash rate stays fairly stable.

    Also, i ran the RPI's 'sudo shutdown' command to turn off the unit (previously I just powered off the psu), and on restart am unable to ssh to the pi. (I enter user, enter password, then get "server unexpectedly closed network connection" from the putty program). Did my shutdown method alter the ssh file or settings? The bitfury Web guide and bit miner both show normal hashing

    Few are ok., last night I had like 400 on 1 chip and then it propagated to a 2nd onee at like 3XX some.. it rendered my 2nd card useless until I rebooted today.
