If Tranz does not come back, we need to look out for a new developper.
To reward a new dev, the easiest way would be for the new dev to add a premine-bounty for himself to the new chain, besides the snapshot of the current chain.
That way we wouldn't need any donations or seek for a voluntary developer.
We just would have to agree on the number of coins that he or she would premine for himself.
I would just suggest 5% of the total coin supply for a new dev. Can anybody in this community post here if they agree with this or not?
If we have a big majority of our community who do agree, we could start to reach out to devs of other coins.
For me, a new dev would be a relatively unknown quantity and HBN wouldn't be the same. I have sent Tranz a private message asking what his intentions with HBN are. So far, he hasn't answered.
We are coming back to the same ground 'others' have brought up. Incentive. I assume that Tranz would have amassed a reasonable amount of HBN, particularly at the beginning. Whether he has already cashed that amount in is another question. Giving a new dev (or Tranz) 5% of the coin supply is something that I would feel very uneasy with. 5% is 1,500,000 HBN. Who is to say that the new dev (or Tranz) wouldn't dump that amount and really do the coin in?
I would prefer the new dev (or Tranz) to have enough faith in the coin to have bought into the coin. That would give him/her (or Tranz) enough incentive to be committed. And by ....., HBN is cheap enough at the moment with only a 30 million coin supply.
The Dev's role is important, but so too is marketing and spreading the word. Some amongst us might be quite skilled at that, and just waiting for the right moment to apply themselves. Do we 'incentivise' them? I would say no to both dev and marketing 'incentivisation', especially considering the stage the coin is at now.
Tranz, it's about time we heard from you (if we haven't already).
