I always wanted to know what are the benefits of developing your own wallet. I know you have a better control of how the tokens are handeled, but are there any benefits regarding, let's say, security?

The wallet can only be as secure as the user is handling it. However additional security measures can be implemented on integrated wallets such as storing the JSON file on our datebase while the password is stored by the user. This would add additional security as both systems would have to be attacked at the same time.
